What Saline Bathrooms Usually Need
The Saline area mixes the City of Saline, with its older homes near downtown and newer subdivisions at the edges, and the townships around it, almost all single-family houses. We work in both.
Census estimates put the median year built at 1980 in the City of Saline, about the same as the Washtenaw County figure of 1978. About 21% of city homes went up in the 1990s, 19% in the 1960s, and 18% in the 2000s, and about 64% are detached houses. Nearby, the median is 1984 in York Township, 1987 in Lodi Township, and 1994 in Pittsfield Township.
In these homes we often find fiberglass shower stalls and tub surrounds, worn floors, and second-floor bathrooms that are hard to reach from below. In their place go walk-in showers, new tubs, and grout-free Pro Stone cultured marble walls. For planning numbers, see typical bathroom remodeling costs.
- Showers: rebuilt with a made-to-measure Pro Stone pan and walls, as near Michigan Avenue and Ann Arbor Street
- Tubs: an old surround replaced with a new tub and walls, as in Pittsfield Township
- Vanity tops: matched to the shower walls, as in Lodi Township
- Every home: a written, all-in price after we measure, covering materials, labor, haul-away, and cleanup
