Bathroom Remodeling Canton, MI
Canton bathroom remodeling, tub-to-shower conversions, and master bath remodels by our own installers
Most Canton homes went up after 1970, and many still have the builder fiberglass shower, a drop-in jetted tub, or a steel tub. We turn those tubs into walk-in showers, replace tubs and showers, and remodel full master baths. Our own crew handles it, start to finish.

A Jetted Tub Out, a Bigger Shower In
The drop-in jetted tub and its tiled deck came out so we could build a larger walk-in shower. It sits on a pure white Pro Stone base, with large 48 by 96-inch porcelain wall panels, a bench with a Pro Stone top, two glass corner shelves, a grab bar, and bypass glass doors in oil-rubbed bronze. A new two-sink Merillat maple vanity in Sable with an Amber Waves quartz top and a new 12 by 24-inch floor finished the room.

A Fiberglass Tub Becomes a Shower to the Soffit
The fiberglass tub and shower came out. The new 60 by 34-inch Pro Stone pan in Illusion De Blanco has walls 96 inches tall up to the soffit, a matching ceiling panel, a custom corner seat, a chrome grab bar, and obscure bypass glass in chrome. We also put in a new ceiling across the soffit.

A New Shower Next to the Tub, and a 10-Foot Top
The fiberglass shower came out, and the drop-in tub stayed. The new 48 by 34 1/2-inch shower has Carrera Pro Stone walls in a subway pattern 90 inches tall, a wave seat, and a 3/8-inch glass door in oil-rubbed bronze, and Carrera Pro Stone went around the tub too. A 120 7/8-inch Carrera top with two wave bowls went on the existing cabinets, along with about 156 square feet of new floor.

What Canton Bathrooms Usually Need
Canton is a township of mostly 1970s to 2000s subdivisions and condos. About two-thirds of its homes are detached houses, and many bathrooms still have the builder tub, shower, and vanity.
Census estimates put the median year built for a Canton home at 1991, much newer than the Wayne County figure of 1956. About 29% of homes went up in the 1970s, 23% in the 1990s, and 18% in the 2000s. About 65% are detached single-family houses, 11% are attached condos and townhomes, and about 77% are owner-occupied.
In homes this age we often find fiberglass tubs and showers, drop-in jetted tubs with tiled decks, steel tubs with tile set over wire mesh, and builder vanities. In their place go walk-in showers, new tubs, and grout-free Pro Stone cultured marble walls. For planning numbers, see typical bathroom remodeling costs.
