Pink Tile and Block Walls to Two New Baths in Grosse Pointe Park

Two bathrooms in this Grosse Pointe Park home were remodeled. Upstairs, pink tile gave way to a Biscuit Pro Stone shower and a sable vanity. In the basement, block walls became a beige Pro Stone shower. The home is near Lakepointe Street.

The Job

Two Bathrooms, Two Plans

This Grosse Pointe Park home had two bathrooms remodeled: the upstairs bath and a basement bath on a concrete slab. Each room got its own plan. Kevin was the product specialist for both.

Upstairs, the pink tile and the old shower came out. We built a Biscuit Pro Stone walk-in shower with a wave seat and clear heavy glass. A Somerton Sable vanity carries a matching Biscuit top. New plank flooring finishes the room.

In the basement, the block-wall bath was gutted. A 505 beige Pro Stone shower went in with a corner caddy. A small sable vanity got a beige Pro Stone top. We finished the drywall. Painting was left to the homeowner.

Aaron and Dave remodeled the upstairs bath. Adam and Dave did the basement install. This is one Home Pro USA project in Grosse Pointe Park, near Lakepointe Street, in Wayne County. Nearby work includes our Detroit story.

Project FAQs

Questions About This Remodel

Can you remodel two bathrooms in one home?
Yes. Here the upstairs bath and the basement bath were each rebuilt to their own plan. Your written quote lists the scope for each room.
Can you remodel a basement bath on a concrete slab?
Yes. This basement room sits on a slab with block walls. We furred the walls, built a Pro Stone shower, and set a new vanity.
What is subway-pattern Pro Stone?
The panels are molded with a subway-tile look, so the walls read like tile with no grout lines to clean. The upstairs shower uses Biscuit in that pattern.
Did you paint these bathrooms?
In the basement, we taped, mudded, and sanded the drywall, and the homeowner painted. The basement after photos show the walls ready for paint. The upstairs afters were taken later, after paint.
Do you work in Grosse Pointe Park?
Yes. This home is near Lakepointe Street in Grosse Pointe Park, in Wayne County. See also our Detroit project and other Wayne County work.
