The Job

Neo-Angle Shower and Jetted Tub Out, a Carrera Walk-In Shower In

This Detroit home has two upstairs bathrooms, and both were remodeled. The primary bath had a tiled neo-angle shower and a jetted tub in a tiled deck under the skylight. We tore out the shower, the tub, and the old vanity, along with the floor and toilet. The white wall cabinet over the toilet stayed.

The new walk-in shower is Carrera Pro Stone, a white marble look. It has a corner seat, a large caddy, and two grab bars on reinforced framing. A frameless sliding glass door closes it in.

Across the room, two gray vanities and a linen tower run along one wall under a long Carrera Pro Stone top with two sinks. Two lighted mirrors hang above it. We added outlets for the mirrors and for the new Toto toilet with a bidet. A gray marble-look floor finishes the room.

The second bathroom had a tiled stall shower, an oak vanity with a green sink, and a tile floor. All of it came out, along with the toilet and the mirror. The new Carrera Pro Stone shower has a matching ceiling panel and an LED light. A frameless hinged glass door closes it in. A gray vanity with a Carrera top and a lighted mirror went in, over new gray floor tile. A comfort-height toilet finishes the room.

In both rooms we patched the drywall where the old tile and fixtures came off. Painting the primary bath was left to the homeowners. The second bath is shown painted. Adam and Dave did the install, and Jeff was the product specialist. This is one Home Pro USA project in Detroit, in Wayne County. Nearby work is on our Dearborn page.

Project FAQs

Questions About These Remodels

Can you remodel two bathrooms in one project?
Yes. This Detroit home had both upstairs bathrooms remodeled by the same crew, with one product specialist and one written quote for each room.
Can you take out a jetted tub and a neo-angle shower and put in one walk-in shower?
Yes. In this primary bath both came out, and a 78-inch Carrera Pro Stone walk-in shower with a seat and grab bars went in. Your consultation covers what fits your room.
What is Pro Stone?
Pro Stone is our cultured marble for shower bases, walls, seats, thresholds, and vanity tops. It goes up in large panels with no grout lines. Both bathrooms here use Carrera, a white marble look.
Why are the primary bath walls unpainted in the photos?
We patched the drywall where the old tile and fixtures came off, and painting the primary bath was left to the homeowners. The second bath photos show that room after it was painted.
Do you work in Detroit?
Yes. This job is in Detroit, in Wayne County, and we have also remodeled bathrooms in nearby Dearborn. Home Pro USA crews remodel bathrooms across Metro Detroit from our Center Line showroom.
