Three Bathrooms in Saline: Two Tubs Out, Three New Showers In

Two kids’ bathrooms lost their cast iron tubs and got walk-in showers. The second master bath traded its old fiberglass shower for a new stall. We did three of the home’s five bathrooms.

The Job

Three Rooms, One Plan

This Saline family had three upstairs bathrooms that needed work. Home Pro USA took out two old tubs and put in walk-in showers. We also replaced the shower in the second master bath. That is three of the home’s five bathrooms.

Boys’ room. A cast iron tub and old tiled walls came out. A Biscuit Pro Stone walk-in shower went in, with walls to the ceiling, an offset soap shelf, and 2 grab bars. A Biscuit vanity top with a white bowl went in. The mirror stayed.

Girls’ room. This room got the same plan in white. The tub and pink tile came out. An Italian White Pro Stone shower went in, with a soap shelf and 2 grab bars, plus a white vanity top.

Second master bath. A 48 x 36 fiberglass shower unit came out. A new stall went in with Tender Grey walls and base, and a framed glass door in brushed nickel. The black-grid tile on the rest of the room stayed.

Both kids’ rooms have clear sliding glass and Delta Ashlyn fixtures in brushed nickel. Jeff was the product specialist. The work ran from June 17 to 27, 2025.

Project FAQs

Questions About This Remodel

Can you remodel several bathrooms in one project?
Yes. We did three of this home’s five bathrooms in one project. Jeff was the product specialist for all three, and the work ran from June 17 to 27, 2025. The home’s other bathrooms stayed in use the whole time.
Can a cast iron tub become a walk-in shower?
Yes. Both kids’ bathrooms had cast iron tubs set in old tile. We took out the tubs and tile and built Pro Stone walk-in showers in the same spaces, with walls up to the ceiling.
Why do the two kids’ bathrooms look alike?
The two rooms are the same size, so they got the same plan: a walk-in shower, an offset soap shelf, two grab bars, and a new vanity top. Only the color changed. The boys’ room is in Biscuit and the girls’ room is in Italian White.
What did you change in the second master bath?
An old 48 x 36 fiberglass shower unit came out. A new stall went in with Tender Grey walls and base and a framed glass door in brushed nickel. The black-grid tile in the rest of the room stayed.
What is Pro Stone?
Pro Stone is our cultured marble for shower bases, walls, shelves, and vanity tops. It goes up in large panels with no grout lines. This home has three colors: Biscuit, Italian White, and Tender Grey.
Do you work in Saline?
Yes. See our Saline page and our Washtenaw County page. We have also remodeled bathrooms in nearby Ann Arbor. Every estimate is clear and written.
