Tub-to-Shower Conversion in Plymouth
A steel tub and green tile came out of this Plymouth bathroom. A Solid White Pro Stone walk-in shower with a corner seat, grab bars, and a rain glass pivot door went in, the tile wainscot gave way to new drywall, and a white tile floor went down. The home sits near Ford Road.
The Job
A Steel Tub and Tile Wainscot Out, a White Walk-In Shower In
This Plymouth bathroom had a steel tub in green tile under a soffit, with more green tile wainscot around the room. The tub, the tub walls, the soffit, and all of the wainscot tile came out.
The new walk-in shower sits on a made-to-fit Pro Stone base with a 62-inch curb. Solid White Pro Stone walls in a gloss finish run 96 inches high, with a matching ceiling panel, a corner seat, a soap dish, and two corner shelves. A Delta Arvo 2-in-1 shower in chrome, chrome grab bars, and a 3/8-inch rain glass pivot door with an inline panel and chrome hardware finish it.
Where the wainscot tile came off, we hung new moisture-resistant drywall and taped and finished it. A new white 16 by 16-inch tile floor went down with a Solid White Pro Stone threshold. The cherry vanity, its top and faucet, the mirror, the wall cabinet, and the toilet all stayed.
Adam and Dave did the install, and Larry was the product specialist. This is one Home Pro USA project in Plymouth, on the Washtenaw County side. Nearby work is on our Ypsilanti and Canton pages.

After
A Walk-In Shower, New Walls, and a White Floor
