The Job

An Almond Tub Out, a Pro Stone Shower In

This bathroom in Dexter had an almond fiberglass tub with a one-piece surround. A dark vanity and a vinyl floor filled out the room. We tore out the tub, the vanity, and the floor. The stained wood door casings stayed, as the homeowner asked.

In the tub space we built a walk-in shower in Clam Shell Pro Stone. It sits on a custom base with a corner caddy. The shower and grab bars are brushed nickel. A clear sliding glass door closes the opening.

Pro Stone wainscot in the same color now runs around the room. A Kohler pedestal sink took the place of the vanity. New Armstrong Alterna flooring went down, and the toilet went back in.

Adam and Dave did the installation in 7 working days. Jeff was the product specialist. The homeowner handled the recessed shelf, the lighting, and the paint. This is one Home Pro USA project in Dexter, near Jackson Road and Fletcher Road, in Washtenaw County. Nearby work is on our Ann Arbor and Saline pages.
