Primary Bathroom Remodel in Lake Orion

A jetted tub, a tiled corner shower, and an old double vanity came out of this primary bathroom in Lake Orion. In went a freestanding tub, a Pro Stone shower with a bench and frameless glass, and two Nightfall vanities under one long top. The home is near Baldwin and Maybee.

The Job

Jetted Tub and Tile Shower Out, Freestanding Tub and Frameless Glass In

This first-floor primary bath had a big jetted tub in a tiled deck, a tiled corner shower, and a white double vanity. We tore out the tub, the shower, and the vanities, along with a short pony wall and the floor. The skylight, the windows, and the doors stayed, and the toilet was reset on the new floor.

In the shower corner we built a Pro Stone shower in white with Slate veining, with a built-in bench and two corner shelves. A black shower tower panel gives a rain head, body jets, and a handheld, and a new recessed light sits overhead. Frameless glass with matte black hardware closes it in.

Where the jetted tub was, a white acrylic freestanding tub now stands under the glass block window, with a black floor-mounted filler.

On the vanity wall, two maple vanities in Nightfall share one long Pro Stone top that matches the shower. Two new light bars hang above. Gray Armstrong Alterna tile covers the floor. The homeowner supplied the vanity knobs and pulls and kept the mirrors.

Pro Stone is our cultured marble for shower bases, walls, benches, and vanity tops. It goes up in large panels with no grout lines. This bathroom uses white Pro Stone with Slate veining for the shower and the 97-inch vanity top.
