The Job

Open Walls Out, a Natural Slate Shower In

This upstairs primary bath in Holly was already opened up when we documented it. Yellow and maroon walls showed open studs at the shower and bay window. The vanity cabinets stayed. We finished the tear-out and rebuilt from there.

The wet area became a Natural Slate Pro Stone walk-in shower with a recessed niche. Clear heavy glass in matte black closes the opening. We set the homeowner’s freestanding tub under the bay window.

A new Natural Slate top with two white undermount sinks went on the existing vanity cabinets. Matte black fixtures match the shower glass. The homeowner handled the flooring and the paint.

Adam, Dave, and Dan did the installation. Larry was the product specialist. We finished the drywall. Painting was left to the homeowner. This is one Home Pro USA project in Holly, near McGinnis Road. The house is in Groveland Township, Oakland County. Nearby work includes our Highland Township story.

After

A Slate Shower and Freestanding Tub

These befores were taken during the open-up. Walls were already opened at the shower and bay window. They show the starting point before we finished demo and built the new shower.
