The Job

A Dark Room Taken Back to a Clean Slate

This first-floor bathroom in Livonia had a cast iron tub and brown tile from floor to ceiling. Two soffits hung low over the space. Home Pro USA took it down to a clean slate.

The tub, all the tile, the wainscoting, and both soffits came out. We moved the toilet to a better spot in the room.

The tub space is now a Sterling Silver Pro Stone walk-in shower with a bench seat and a corner caddy. Two black glass panels in matte gold close it in: one door and one partition.

Sterling Silver wainscoting panels wrap the room, with a matching ceiling panel and window stool. A Nightfall maple vanity holds a Sterling Gray top, and White Vague tile covers the floor. A quiet fan and new recessed lights brighten the room.

The homeowner picked out the faucets, toilet, hardware, lighted mirror, and sconces. Our crew installed the room around them.

This was a full room, not just a tub swap. We took out the tub, all the tile, the wainscoting, and two soffits. Then we moved the toilet and finished new drywall. We also installed wainscoting panels, a ceiling panel, new lights, and fixtures the homeowner supplied. Most full remodels take 5-10 working days. Bigger changes like these add time.
Can I supply my own fixtures?
Yes. The homeowner picked the faucets, toilet, hardware, lighted mirror, and sconces. Our crew installed them along with the shower, vanity, and floor. Tell us at the consultation, and we will plan around your items.
Can you move a toilet during a remodel?
Yes. Here the toilet moved to a better spot in the room. We plan moves like this at the consultation, and they are in your written quote.
What is the second glass panel next to the shower?
The shower uses two Vigo Elan doors in black glass with matte gold trim. Each door is one fixed panel plus one sliding panel. One door closes off the shower. The other works as a partition.
What is Pro Stone, and is the bench built in?
Pro Stone is our cultured marble for shower bases, walls, benches, and wainscoting. It goes up in large panels with no grout lines. This room uses Sterling Silver. The bench seat is Pro Stone too, set into the shower.
